Appointment of Pierre Parenteau as Senior VP, Actuarial and Finances

Drummondville, February 15, 2021 – Christian Mercier, Chief Executive Officer of UV Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Parenteau to the senior management team as Senior Vice-President, Actuarial and Finances. He thus succeeds Luc Pellerin, who will continue in his role as Appointed Actuary on an interim basis while serving as Senior Vice-President, Strategy and Transformation until his retirement in 2022.

A Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Casualty Actuarial Society and the prestigious Society of Actuaries, Mr. Parenteau has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. “His sense of innovative leadership combined with his extensive expertise in corporate actuarial and finances make him the ideal person for this important role in our growing mutual,” said Mr. Mercier.

Mr. Parenteau will join the team on March 8, 2021.
