Drummondville, April 9, 2019 – UL Mutual is pleased to add to its supplementary benefits a new Credit Insurance rider available on Term and Permanent life insurance products, and to include the exchange privilege in Superior + term life insurance contracts issued as of April 2, 2019.
“We are proud to offer new solutions to meet market trends as well as the needs of many financial security advisors across Canada, in order to diversify our already competitive product range,” stated Julie Michaud, Senior Vice-President, Individual Insurance and Investment & Retirement at UL Mutual.
Credit Insurance Rider
The Credit Insurance rider is intended as a reassuring coverage that takes care of the insured’s monthly payments in the event of total disability. By combining term or permanent life insurance with the UL Mutual Credit Insurance rider, the insureds no longer need to worry about their financial obligations in the event of total disability or death. Three coverage options are available: 2 years, 5 years or to age 65.
Exchange Privilege
UL Mutual upgrades Superior + term life insurance contracts by adding the exchange privilege to new policies signed on or after April 2, 2019, without evidence of insurability. Clients can therefore upgrade their Superior + T-10 and T-20 coverage to Superior + T-20 or T-30 coverage in the first 5 years of the effective date of their policy.
UL Mutual’s sales team is already on tour in Quebec, Ontario and soon across Canada to promote these new features. All details are available at www.ulmutual.ca.
