UV Assurance

UL Mutual to become UV Insurance

Drummondville, October 21, 2019 – UL Mutual is evolving. The company is using its growth momentum to solidify its brand across Canada by changing its corporate image, which will be phased in over the next few months. UL Mutual, also known under its legal name, The Union Life Mutual Assurance Company, will become UV Insurance.

The company is simplifying its brand to UV Insurance with a view to supporting its development across Canada. Founded in Drummondville in 1889, the company is starting a new chapter after a rigorous process. “I’m very pleased to unveil this new name, which strongly supports our primary activity, while still paying tribute to our journey over the last 130 years. Throughout this change, we remain the same committed, friendly mutual insurance company,” emphasized Christian Mercier, UL Mutual’s Chief Executive Officer. With solid expertise acquired over more than a century, the company continues to flourish and enhance its service offering to its members and its strong network of advisors.
The change will become effective as of the official launch of the new brand image, scheduled for November 19, 2019, at the Life Insurance Convention in Montreal. This eco-friendly process will take place gradually over the coming months. “You will notice that we will be using two brands over the next year, as we go through our paper inventory to minimize waste,” added Mercier.

A modern and user-friendly website will subsequently be launched. There will be more good news for the company in the near future. Teams are working hard to modernize the technology systems, and a new head office along Highway 20 in Drummondville is scheduled for opening in the summer of 2020.
